Marketing Data Analyst

The Marketing Data Analyst will be responsible for transforming raw marketing data into actionable insights, building performance dashboards, and guiding data-driven decision-making across marketing campaigns and client strategies. This role bridges data, technology, and business strategy; acting as the analytical engine that measures effectiveness, uncovers opportunities, and proves the ROI of marketing initiatives.

Main Responsibilities of a Marketing Data Analyst

  • Data Infrastructure & Management: Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reporting systems to track key marketing KPIs across channels (web, email, social, paid media). Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and hygiene by managing data pipelines and integrations from various platforms (Google Analytics, CRM, ad platforms).
  • Insight Generation & Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analyses on campaign performance, customer behavior, and conversion funnels to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization. Perform ROI analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing spend and tactics.
  • Testing & Experimentation: Design, execute, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests for landing pages, email campaigns, and ad creatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Storytelling: Partner closely with marketing managers, client teams, and strategists to translate business questions into analytical projects. Synthesize complex data findings into clear, compelling narratives and visualizations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Forecasting & Modeling: Support the development of marketing forecasts, budgets, and models to predict campaign outcomes and customer lifetime value.
  • Tool & Technology Expertise: Stay current with analytics tools, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and emerging methodologies in marketing measurement.

Key Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in a marketing analytics, data analysis, or business intelligence role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Marketing, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts, channels, and standard metrics (CPC, CPA, LTV, attribution).
  • Experience with web analytics platforms (Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics) and marketing platforms (CRM, ESPs).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights in a simple, actionable manner.
